The atmosphere was electric in Stellenbosch on the 26th of April 2023, when the Beach and Bush team facilitated a team building activity for PAYMENOW.

Denise, the contact person for the event, explained that the activity was a surprise for the PAYMENOW team.
The real surprise for the Beach and Bush Team however was the inclusion on the event of one of South Africa’s all time most famous sports stars.
Bryan Habana – the former Springbok World Cup Winner and 2007 International Rugby Board Player of the Year was on the event.

Bryan Habana who is the Chief Client Officer of PAYMENOW, showed on the event how he still upholds the principles of teambuilding as a way of ensuring the success of a healthy working team.

The company took on the Minute to Win It challenge which comprises of indoor games, that aim to encourage a team spirit, communication and collaboration while team members have loads of fun and laughs.
The group of 28 was split into 4 teams. The key was to support one another and win each 60 second challenge.
Bryan showed his fiery competitive spirit. This spirit quickly spread like wildfire to his team and the other team members and participants.
Bryan encompasses what we stand for as Beach and Bush Team Building, to engage, energize and align.
One of the many challenges included in the Minute To Win It Challenge was the “Face the cookie challenge”, where team members are required to use their facial muscles to move a cookie from the forehead into their mouths without using their hands.

Bryan showed that he still has his competitive edge when he swallowed four cookies in less than a minute, which might actually be a new record on this challenge.

When the event reached its conclusion, it was clear that the team’s morale had been boosted, and the participants were in agreement that the event was a great step forward in ensuring cohesion and coordination of the team and encouraging team players to maintain and develop bonds while breaking down barriers.
